The newly renovated and renamed Idaho State Museum features an additional 18,000 square feet of exhibition and education space, and the original 1950 building has been completely renovated to create an interactive and educational visitor experience. The museum's collection tells the story of Idaho from prehistoric times through the fur trade, the gold rush, and pioneer settlement to the present. The museum is located in Julia Davis Park.
