City of Boise Mayor David Bieter will proclaim the second Monday of October Indigenous Peoples Day on the steps of Boise City Hall. Indigenous Peoples’ Day is part of a movement to recognize the atrocities committed against indigenous people while celebrating the history and contributions of Native and First Nations peoples to the community. Indigenous, Native, First Nations, Latinx and Chicanx brothers and sisters are invited to be part of the celebration.
