Into Planes? Like Beer? Check Out Hops & Props at Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa

In March, a Portuguese airline cancelled a flight leaving Stuttgart, Germany, after discovering that its co-pilot was drunk. The co-pilot was walking unsteadily and reeking of booze, and caught the eye of airport staff. Although the flight's 106 passengers were given hotel rooms for the night, they were stuck in Germany for three days before the flight was rescheduled.

Not every encounter featuring both beer and planes has to end so badly. Aviation-lovers who like their beer and don't want to be left hanging can take flight with the inaugural Hops & Props event on Friday, June 8, at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, where a slew of breweries including Bella Brewing, Cloud 9 Brewery, County Line Brewing, Crescent Brewery and Mad Swede Brewing Company, and eateries Big Jud's and Dickey's Barbecue Pit, will set up shop.

Chug along while checking out classic airplanes like a P-51C Mustang, a P-40E Kittyhawk, a Fokker DR-1 Triplane and many, many more after hours. The event runs from 5-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and cover admission, the beer tasting and a collectible mug.
