Re: “Coeur d'Alene Responds to Chapel Lawsuit Over Nondiscrimination Ordinance

Why is it ok to discriminate against thus mans religion but not ok to discriminate against race or sexual orientation. A chapel is a place of Christian worship. A wedding chapel is a place of religious ceremonies. Anyone telling this man to change his religion and to perform same sex marriages is like telling a homosexual to be heterosexual. And I read that if he does not do this he will receive fines and possible jail time? How is persecuting this man for his religion not discrimination? So these two ministers would rather close their doors rather than violate their religious beliefs? That is a decision made under duress! That is forcing someone to do some thing against their religious beliefs! That is discrimination! I thank the individuals who have respect enough for this mans religion to find somewhere else to go. That is the proper way it should be. Respect for each others beliefs and way of life. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Mutual respect not forcing religious beliefs on the gay people and the gay people not forcing their beliefs on religious people. Simple... respect does not mean discrimination. Just letting someone live their own life making their own choices with out passing judgment.
