July 10, Kerry Caldwell of The Edge Brewing Co. in Boise sustained burns over almost 30 percent of her body in a boil-over accident. The next day she was transported to the Burn Center at the University of Utah, where she continues to receive treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery, according to a post on the Edge Brewing Facebook page.

Boise's beer community being tight knit, a group of local brewers is throwing a fundraiser to benefit Caldwell's recovery at PreFunk-Boise Saturday, July 18, beginning at 3 p.m.

The fundraiser will feature appearances by some of the biggest names in Boise beer, including Edge, Crooked Fence, Sockeye—where Caldwell cut her teeth before striking out on her own—, Woodland Empire, Slanted Rock, Boise Brewing, Payette Brewing Co., Postmodern Brewers and more, as well as a raffle.

All beer and raffle proceeds benefit Caldwell's recovery.
