Lecture by Suzanne Moore, Saint John's Bible Project Artist

When: Tue., April 23, 6:30 p.m. 2019
Price: $5
Suzanne Moore was an artist involved in a 13-year project to write and illuminate the Bible. Commissioned by the Benedictine monks at Saint John's Abby in Minnesota, it is the first handwritten, illuminated manuscript of the Bible in 500 years. Saint Alphonsus has received one of the Heritage Editions, which is on display in the lobby of the Central Tower. Moore's illustrated presentation will describe her work as well as the rich history of manuscripts. She created 10 interpretive illuminations and three special treatments as one of only two American artists on the Saint John's Bible project.
