Re: “Idaho High Schooler Alleges Sex, Religion Discrimination

Eastern Idaho is definitely like entering another world... As a non-Mormon it's very difficult living in such a narrow-minded community. People, companies, and businesses have refused our service due to us not belonging to the LDS church. Boy Scouts refuse to pick up our canned food, contractors refuse to work on our house, even a lawn care company left in the middle of a bid because we didn't belong to the church. One of our neighbors snow plows the sidewalk in the winter for the safety of the children, but refuses to snow plow in front of our house, even when offered baked goods and money for gas, merely because I'm not apart of their ward. Even my students tell me it's annoying I drink coffee because I'm disrespecting Jesus. I think Eastern Idaho needs a good old lesson on tolerance and multiculturalism.
