Lydia, The Higher, Bank, The Killing Moon, These Green Eyes, March 23, The Venue

The Venue brings some great acts through town and by combining touring shows with those of local bands, great shows are guaranteed. Lydia, The Higher, Bank, The Killing Moon and These Green Eyes will come together on Thursday, March 23, as a shining example of the caliber of events the Venue has to offer.

Lydia is a five-piece out of Arizona, who blend thoughtful lyrics with melodic rock and vocal harmonies (by the one female member of the band). Their innovative sound has led them to open for the likes of Coheed and Cambria and Alien Ant Farm and to be included on a compilation CD with Fall Out Boy and MXPX. (

The Higher are five Las Vegas-ans who look and sound like "have fun" is at the top of their to-do list every day. Their music is extremely infectious and their live show must be a must-see. (

Bank is a Boise-based band, who after a line-up change, has found their focus. They have a bittersweet, emo-indie-pop sound clearly reflective of the band members' personal experiences and growth as a band. (

The Killing Moon are five musicians who add horns and woodwinds to their emo rock sound. They pride themselves on their live show and if it's anything like their recorded stuff, they have a right to be proud. (

These Green Eyes are a fivesome hailing from Connecticut. Their music has the requisite emotional lyrics and melodies associated with the music of their peers, but These Green Eyes have a maturity sometimes not found in songs of bands in the same genre. Having them on this lineup rounds out the show beautifully. (

For any fan of this brand of indie rock, this promises to be a brilliant show.
