A Boise man was sent to the Ada County lockup Friday afternoon after witnesses said the suspect was disturbing students outside of Boise High School. Boise Police officers were summoned to the downtown campus of Boise High School at around 12:20 p.m. That's where witnesses told law enforcement that the suspect was "acting strangely" and yelling obscenities at students who had been returning from lunch. A student resource officer placed the school in "shelter in place" mode while officers combed the area. Boise Police Bicycle Unit officers located the suspect on State Street between Fifth and Sixth streets.

James Van Camp, 42, of Boise was charged with disturbing the peace. He was also charged with contempt of court in connection with a previous incident. He was booked into the Ada County Jail, where he'll await an arraignment on Monday, Nov. 19.
