  • The members of the Liverpool-based band Her's, which performed at Treefort Music Fest 2019, were killed in a car crash in Arizona, along with their tour manager.
Tragedy struck on March 27, when the members of Liverpool-based band Her's and their tour manager died in a car crash in Arizona. They performed in Boise for Treefort Music Fest.

"We are deeply saddened to hear of the fatal accident involving Her's," wrote Treefort Music Fest organizers in an email. "Her's had just performed at Treefort Music Fest and we are all grateful and lucky to have witnessed their talent. Our hearts go out to the band members' families, friends and fans. Their incredible music will live on."

The crash took place on Interstate 10 on the band's way to Santa Ana, California, according to Arizona Republic. Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, and Audun Laading, 25, were driving the highway with their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson, 37, hours after performing in Phoenix, Arizona, when a truck driving in the wrong direction struck their passenger van head-on.

Fitzpatrick, Laading and Engelbrektson were killed in the crash, as well as the driver of the Nissan pickup, Francisco Edward Rebollar, 63, who was driving east in the westbound lane. Department of Public Safety officials said the van and pickup were on fire when they arrived, and neither car made an attempt to brake before they collided.

The band's label, U.K.-based Heist or Hit, said Her's was touring the U.S. to promote its second album, Invitation to Her's (Heist or Hit, 2018).
