Meridian voters pushed aside the melodrama between the West Ada School Board and former School Superintendent Linda Clark Tuesday to approve a two-year, $28 million levy.

School officials said the much-needed funds will help pay for nearly 40 teachers and nine additional instructional days for the Meridian school calendar.

Voters in the Nampa School District also approved a two-year, $15.4 million levy to help pay for 25 instructors and 14 more school days.

Voters in Vallivue, meanwhile, approved a two-year, $4.5 million supplemental levy for that community's school district to help manage class size and maintain current teacher and staff levels.

Rather than consider a levy or bond, in Caldwell voters ousted two members of their local school board—Zone 1 Trustee Amy Rojas and Zone 5 Trustee Leif Skyving.
