Re: “Brick Oven Bistro Announces it Will Close in November

The Brick Oven Bistro has truly been a culinary icon of this town. In an era of franchise homogeneity, Stephanie and Jeff brought some honest eats in a warm and cozy venue. The genius of their menu was not just the quality, but their ability to push the envelope while offering tried and true comfort food classics. There was truly something for everyone, and everyone was welcome. The BOB was one of a kind.

Re: “Best Local Twitterer

When it comes to being engaged in the community, there is no way you can beat Mr. Nicholson. Now, if he just had "racier" tweets, he could give Ms. Green a run for her money!

Re: “Best Local Blogger

Hey, as thrilled as I am about tying for third place with Betsy Russell, I'm even more stoked about Chris getting the top spot. Hell, I voted for him! I also featured him in one of my IBR blogs, by the by.

Chris does a remarkable job, and if you stop and think about the implications of a "newsroom of one" covering the breadth of topics that Chris does, in the style he does it -- and then completely refreshing content no fewer than three times a day, I think you'll appreciate where "new media" is going. Idaho Statesman, if you're not talking with Chris, get off your duff and pick up the phone right now! TreasuredValley.com is the future of media.

Re: “Best Place to Get Some Tongue on Tongue Action

Wow, I can hear Andrew Zimmern saying, "Fieri, you're a wus!" To Bar Gernika I can only say, "slip me some tongue, baby!"

Re: “Food Review: Bella Aquila

Kudos for a review that truly does justice to Bill Cooper and his family's restaurant. If your readers are still "hungry" for more about Bella Aquila, they should check out the story in Behind the Menu http://bit.ly/3aTGGK

As you say, Rachel, "a good meal is about more than the food."
