The Ada County Sheriff's Office Dive Team and Star Police pulled the body of a 16-year-old Middleton boy from the Boise River Monday morning. The teen's body was found in the river near Star Road.

Officials said the boy had disappeared in the water mid-afternoon on July 30, and his friends searched the river for several hours before calling for help.

Crews from the Boise, Eagle and Star fire departments searched the river along with ACSO throughout the evening and again on Monday morning. The teen's body was ultimately found about 30 feet from shore. ACSO said the body showed no signs of trauma.

The Ada County Coroner has been called and the boy's name has not yet been released, pending notification of kin.
