Note June 4, 2008

I sat down with my first copy of BW in 2002. I read the feature story—in which the first paragraph had been erroneously duplicated—marked up the issue with my red pen and applied for an open copy editor's position. I didn't get the job. Not until two months later when the first candidate quit did I come on. Over the last six years, I've wandered in and out of BW's pages, being at times a reader and a contributor. I can say confidently that, right now, the paper is the best it's ever been. And I trust that as diligent readers, you'll keep me on my toes should I fail to push the envelope.
