Note September 17, 2008

As many of you know, Boise can be a very small city. After all, that's why many of us choose to live here. However sometimes things get a little too close for comfort. For the sake of journalistic transparency and full disclosure, I'd like to take this week's Editor's Note to let you know just how small our BW world can be.

News Editor Nathaniel Hoffman's wife has taken a job managing the Ada County Democrats' coordinated campaign for the Nov. 4 election. Although she's paid by a slate of candidates, we've decided the best course of action is to have another reporter tackle Boise Weekly's election coverage this year. We will cover local elections in these pages, and our election reporters will guest blog at Hoffman's news Web site citydesk.boiseweekly.com. Hoffman will continue to cover local politics not related to the upcoming election.
