A Payette man is dead after his motorcycle crossed the center line on U.S. Highway 95, striking a car.

The incident took place May 14 around 4:15 p.m. near Milepost 72, close to Payette. That's where Donald Manning, Jr., 47, was riding southbound on his Harley D avidson motorcycle. Manning's motorcycle struck a northbound GMC pickup driven by Judy Eldridge, 51, of Weiser.

Though Manning was wearing a helmet, he died at the scene of injuries sustained in the crash. His family has been notified. Eldridge was not injured in the incident.

Idaho State Police blocked off both lanes of the highway for nearly three hours while crews cleared the scene, though ISP's investigation into the incident continues.
