Onry Ozzborn, AWOL One; May 23, Gusto

Indie rappers Onry Ozzborn, AWOL One, and Ecid return to Boise this Sunday with a free show at Gusto.

Seattle's Onry Ozzborn, member of the famed Grayskul and Oldominion crews, will perform with beat-meister Zavala under the pseudonym Dark Time Sunshine. DTS is a new project from Fake Four Records, featuring Onry's signature rhymes and socially conscious lyrics over Zavala's synth-heavy club beats. Their official debut, Vessel was released in April and features cameos from Aesop Rock and P.O.S. According to the group's Myspace page, "[Vessel] will stimulate your crossbow skills, while massaging the inner harlot of every woman."

AWOL One has been a staple of the underground Cali hip-hop scene since the early 90's. He's worked with the likes of Common, 2 Live Crew, and Jurassic 5. His latest project with Minnesota MC/Producer Ecid, titled Awol One And Ecid Are..., was released last January on Fill In The Breaks Records. The new disc is full of quirky, intelligent raps and tripped-out retro beats.

9 p.m., Free, The Gusto Bar, 509 W. Main St., 208-343-5159.
