Outdoor recreation week

Gov. Dirk Kempthorne has set aside the week of August 22 as Idaho Outdoor Recreation Week and given every state employee the week off to enjoy the outdoors. Just kidding. But wouldn't that be nice? Since pay increases haven't been great for state employees in recent years, compensating them with an extra week's vacation might be nice? Maybe they could go salmon fishing. Oh, wait. The salmon didn't come back this year.
