That's ok...we can just continue to ship in apples from New Zealand. We prefer to expend billions in energy costs to acquire our food, anyhow.

the reflex reaction to being scared like that is innate, and in some very strong. It is a REFLEX. that means it bypasses all conscious thought in the brain. he likely had no control over what he did. the attraction was 100% at fault. All actors need to be instructed not to get that close to people while they are doing that. Six feet away is close enough. If that had been my husband, that actor would have been unconscious on the ground.

Yay for raw milk! Pasteurization largely became necessary because of unscrupulous farmers before disease transmission and epidemiology was understood. No milk is 3.25% milk fat. cream is skimmed from milk and sold separately. Many would skim extra off. Then they would often add water (not sterilized) to thin it further, extending their profits. the water generally contained the pathogens. A clean, well run operation poses less risk than vegetable farms and salmonella/E. coli. Less than .000000001% of raw milk users were sickened by raw milk. Other food borne illnesses affect aproximately 75 MILLION people in the US every year. Last year, quite a bit more. In 2011, there were 201 reported illnesses from raw milk, 39 from pasteurized milk. The ultrapasteurization used today allows for unhealthy livestock care, and creates a product with grossly denatured milk proteins that it appears may trigger allergic responses, as they are not recognized by the body (similar to the trans-fat argument of a decade or so ago...remember when they were "healthier" than real fats? that is until they were deemed basically toxic).
