Phil Garonzik Life Celebration

When: Tue., Feb. 16, 2 p.m. 2016
Price: FREE
Celebrate the life and music of local sax and flute master Phil Garonzik, who passed away after a short illness on Feb. 8 at OHSU Hospital in Portland, Ore. Garonzik was a jazz luminary for many years in the Boise area and played in many area bands stretching all the way back to Fat Chance in the early 1970s. He was the original sax/flute man for the Hoochie Coochie Men and on their CD For A Good Time Call. His funeral will be followed (about 4 p.m.) by a musical celebration of Phil's life at the Riverside Hotel Sapphire Room, featuring many of Phil's musician buddies.
