Police Blotter: Weapons Arrest at Boise Airport, Drug Possession Arrest at Two-Vehicle Crash

A Boise man is behind bars, charged with attempting to take a weapon aboard an aircraft, following his arrest at the Boise Airport.  Boise Police were summoned to the airport on the evening of June 15. That's when TSA agents discovered a 7-inch blade knife concealed in the suspect's shoe. Agents said they also discovered a small amount of marijuana in the suspect's other shoe. The suspect later told police that he was trying to take the knife to his final destination.

Sixty-seven-year-old Donald Jackson of Boise is being held at the Ada County Jail on a felony count of violating the Idaho Statute for Aircraft Hijacking. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He's being held on $50,000 bail.

Meanwhile, BPD made a separate arrest the following morning, taking a driver who reportedly fleeing from a traffic accident into custody. Two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Emerald and Milwuakee streets. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the suspect hiding in nearby bushes, but when police approached, the suspect jumped into a nearby canal. Ultimately, 28-year-old Robee Williams of Boise was taken into custody and charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, resisting officers, and possession of a controlled substance and stolen property. He's held at the Ada County Jail without bail.
