Public Art Dedication in Eagle

After a long campaign to raise private and public funds for the project, the City of Eagle/Eagle Arts Commission will hold a public dedication of a new statue on July 16. The statue is a bronze likeness of Thomas Aikens, the man who filed the first plat with Ada County in the late 1800s in what is now Eagle.

The public is welcome at this dedication ceremony, and descendents of Thomas Aikens will be in attendance as well.

July 16, 11 a.m., corner of 1st and State streets, Eagle. For more information, contact Linda Goldman at 409-7867.
