Where to Go

Tired of the same old trail? Boise-based outdoor author Steve Stuebner is back with a new guide to trails in and around the Capital City.

Boise Trail Guide: 75 Hiking and Running Routes Close To Home divides trails into difficulty levels, from easy to epic, and offers a variety of locations.

Stuebner includes some from exotic locales like the greenbelts in Nampa and Caldwell and outings into central Idaho.

The guide is available in outdoor-oriented stores like Bandanna Walking and Running, Shu's Idaho Running Co. and REI, as well as at Vista Book Gallery, Barnes and Noble, Borders and

Idaho Hoops

OK, so Idaho isn't really synonymous with basketball, but the Idaho Black History Museum has managed to round up some of the Gem State's best players for Meeting of the Minds: Legends of Idaho Basketball Classic.

The benefit event brings together players who spent some portion of their basketball careers in Idaho.

The charity game will begin at 7:30 p.m. on July 25 at Qwest Arena. For more information, check out
