Re: “H1N1 Flu Widespread in Idaho, 39 Other States

Cece,

You've caught me. Your right the flu epidemic is due to "natural selection" occurring in "red states" that don't have much " access to affordable care".

I am sure there is a wide array of reasons for the H1N1 to be concentrated in the warmer climates, it is not exclusive to just that. What other theories on this flu epidemic in "red states" are you harboring?

Re: “H1N1 Flu Widespread in Idaho, 39 Other States

CeCe,

Your comment trying to bring a political slant to the way the this particular map shows recorded infections to be of some sort of political/social dilemma is wrought with ignorance/arrogance. You make the assumption that people who live in those states don't have affordable health care. Truth is that the health care in those states is probably cheaper. Mankind has been patiently allowing nature to thin its herd for millions of years and it still continues. When the thinning is ceased one should get worried. I would have to say that the thinning has almost ceased and now Pandora's box will be opened to an evolutionary shift or a plate will jump back.

Then to make the assumption that taking a flu shot is somehow going to make a particular group of people more advantageous for the long term within the realms of evolution is simply short sighted. The ones that will have the advantage are the ones who do not need advanced technologies to keep them alive. When your flu shot factories fall into disarray because this Ponzi scheme economy implodes where will you hide from H1N1? Better yet where will you get your non-fat dairy creamer? Or buy your US savings bonds?

We make the assumption that our current way of life will continue forever. How arrogant we are? Many other great civilizations have disappeared from the face of the planet before us and we will follow in that same suit. Evolution's winners are always changing and thus everyone's time will come. So keep on drinking your Kool Aid, just add a little more artificial sweetener, so your teeth don't rot away before you finish your thoughts.

H1N1 actually thrives in warmer climates and that can be cross referenced.

"H1N1flu seem to thrive in much warmer than the usual cold weather when seasonal flu thrives."
