Re: “Dog Eat Dog

I give my Wife a kiss goodbye each morning then I bend down and kiss my dog on the nose, I use a choke collar and stern commands (some may say I yell), should I be expecting a citation from the IHS shortly? I guess they could even come to our house and TRY taking the dog that we adopted from their facility and then spent money training (at the Dog House), vets, and the best dog food. What I’m trying to say is don’t issue a citation without an investigation because someone could file a complaint on me for using harsh commands and a choke collar but they don’t see the big picture. I’m not going to enter into personal comments about the person who filed the complaint because I don’t know that person and probably don’t want to know anyone that files a complaint on My BEHALF without discussing it with me first. We attended dog obedience classes, graduated from the Canine Good Citizenship Program, attended Rally classes, and left our dog at day care at the Dog House and Richard and Linda have never injured or tried to injure our dog and our dog whines if we drive past the Dog House without stopping. It is our responsibility to protect our dog and if she gets lose and we have to yell “Down” to prevent her from running into the street and getting killed that’s what we will do. We have to be the “pack leader” and our dog must obey for her protection. What about the popular shock collars and spike collars…….why are they still for sale? Oh yeah, if the choke chain and yelling is so stressful on our dog someone should let her know but don’t wake her up while she is sleeping on my lap each night while I watch TV it might stress her out. To sum it all up Richard and Linda are two of the best “dog people” we know and we would trust them with the care and training of our dog anytime.
