Re: “More Drama Expected Under the Dome Friday

Katherine Hansen~ Do your followers know that you are circus in the front and business in the back? I would like to know who put you in charge. You sold the farm and have your own agenda. I am sure you will get what you want and still sit well when the cuts come, gee is that a personal agenda? Please do not pretend that all of you purpose in in the best interest for the majority. You are a good speaker. You know how make a presentation. I don't think you have the answers. I see a lot of talk but no figures. As JFAC has asked for the math, and wants facts. Good job keeping Peter busy while you rob Paul.

Re: “Emotional Testimony on Health and Welfare

Oh snakeriversix..... Annoying yes. What if you were a sex offender, a drug addict, or felon of the kind a child should not be exposed too!?!? Your experience has NOTHING to do with what going on. Nothing! Just an emotional experience and still you offer no solutions the problem you have. As much as it was extensive interventions to see if you were fit to take him, what if you hadn't been? With out your son having put in writing what his desires were the state did their job~ protect the child! If you didn't like the inconvenience and you didn't want government and agencies to interfere, you family should have the legal papers to prevent this. I hope your family has learned a lesson: Have power of attorney, living wills, wills and written documentation and no the plan and were these documents are for if an emergency was to arise! Know what your son’s wishes and with proper documentation they will be executed as he desired. Just saying, Single parent has a moral obligation to have that if they don't want the government to make decisions for them! Hope you and your family has a plan now

Re: “Emotional Testimony on Health and Welfare

I certainly believe that the emotional testimony though heart wrenching was just that emotional. I think that if those providing the services actually sat down with facts and figures they trim their budget and still provide the services. Here is an honest figure for you. An individual who testified didn't mention they were part of the problem. For example the indivdual receives developmental therapy and was proven to more of success when person was receiveing "group therapy" and limited "individual" in their developmental services. They cost the state in 2008/2009 $12875.48 and in 2009/2010 $21101.35. What changed was the person is one and one therapry which pays a higher rate. This person has no need for such one and one time. Do you shop as a tax payer 16-18 something hours a week, or do fun activities. First one and one promotes co-dependence and some activies in the community is fun, yes, but certainly NOT training the person to be more independent. Each person with developmental disabilities gets an approved budget. Where was the state when the budget increased so much to ask why are changes the services to such costly servicies and does that indivual need it? Why didn't the state follow up on the agencies who provide the services and see who was doing it more cost effective and who was actually providing vibal life trainings. I am disgusted that some of these people cry out save the services but didn't even realize they are part of the problem. Where are the developmental agencies that say yeah I did abuse the system, this person doesn't need that much one on one time and I can still meet their needs in group setting??? I think there is a lot of room to salavage services if people got real honest. Emotions don't pay bills!!! this is one example there are hundred like it.
