Re: “Boise State Adjuncts Demonstrate on National Adjunct Walkout Day

I taught adjunct in another state for 10 years. Here's the facts folks. 1. You are there to support full time faculty. 2. You teach classes that overload full time faculty. 3. Part timers don't get benefits. 4. Part timers don't get retirement. 5. You knew this when you were offered and accepted the assignments. 6. Most adjunct teachers have other full time jobs. 7. Some adjunct teach hoping to be noticed by administration and become a front runner for a faculty position if one opens up.

Re: “Kustra: Boise State Has Big Goals to Boost Graduation Numbers, But Still Lags Behind Other Colleges in Per-Student General Funds

Are there jobs for Art majors? Don't know, just asking. I know there are jobs for computer majors.

Re: “Mike Masterson: The Exit Interview

We can a boy to war at 18. Give him a rifle. Then make him a squad leader. Then a platoon leader. Task him with making life and death decisions for him and his men. But when he comes home, if he is under 21 he can't even have a beer with his dad. Something is wrong with the system.

Re: “Dumbassity

The ironic thing here is that Prater is not a BSU apologist. He is an Aggie that has always loved and supported the UofI program both academically and athletically. But now he has turned on the UofLies. Why? Makes you think that the downturn in enrollment in Moscow is a real thing. Makes you think the exodus of professors from Moscow is a real thing. Makes you think the AD is really the laughing stock of the WAC and is kept by the president of the University only because he is cheap and will toe the company line while the President works feverishly at trying to right the ship. No, Prater the traitor is no friend of BSU but then again Cope has never been able to say anything decent about a single Republican. So like Prater until Cope can write a more balanced column I just read for the entertainment value and then laugh about what idiots they both are. Oh, and by the way....I'm an alumni and a fan of BSU. As Cope says. Just for fairness of disclosure.

Re: “The Front Man

But what is the meaning of the word we? Or the meaning of sex? Or I? For this confusion whom do we have to thank? No Mr. Cope. This type of underhanded talk and confusion has been going on in both parties for many years. Please don't try and paint it with a GOP paint brush.

Re: “Mayor, Mayor

Now dagone it Cope, I was all set to have you fire me up with your one sided commentary that always, always, I say always goes for the Dems and against the GOP. Then you go and write a fair and pretty unbiased piece that I can whole heartedly agree with. Now I'm one that usually spends the rest of the day retching after reading your opinion pieces, but fella, I cannot find anything wrong with what you said. And while I'm a relative newcomer by your standards (20 years of so), I also agree with the notion that we all know somebody. True be known you are my brother-in-laws, brother-in-laws, brother. Now if that don't take it all!!! So I'll mark this down as the the first piece this year from you that was unbiased AND made sense. Now get back to attacking anything not Democratic next week will ya?
