Speaker Review

After the brouhaha over left-leaning speakers at Boise State the school has created a new speaker series, controlled by students.

Members of a new committee will include two members of the student senate, the two conservative students who complained about the issue and two members of the school's Martin Luther King commemorative lecture committee.

Conservative students hope the new group will help them bring like-minded speakers. Boise State spokesman Frank Zang said the mission of the school's Distinguished Lecture series remains the same: to bring noteworthy speakers with a message and broad student appeal.
