Spring 2007

March In Idaho means crazy weather, a surge of cultural events and the spring issue of Idaho Arts Quarterly (IAQ), which is packed with event listings, reports and feature stories on all things cultural in Idaho.

In the last issue of IAQ, the articles were done so well, the same writers were asked to contribute again for this issue. For our cover story, Katy Dang profiles sculptor Kerry Moosman, whose work has become an integral part of the Idaho arts community. Up north, Carole Price Spurling takes a detailed look at the Palouse chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art, an organization that provides amazing opportunities for women artists. Michael Corrigan offers information on the talented musicians playing their hearts out in Pocatello. And, in central Idaho, Tony Evans reminds us that we have homegrown acting talent in Hailey.

As always, this issue contains reports for each region, which provide a little more in-depth coverage of some of our listings. Oh, the listings. In this issue of IAQ, you'll find such a roster of art exhibits, classes, concerts and theater performances, you'll be busy right up to the day the 2007 summer IAQ hits the stands.

Happy spring!
