  • Rodney Reider has left his position as president and CEO of Saint Al's.
Officials at the Saint Alphonsus Health System made an abrupt announcement late Monday: effective immediately, its president and CEO is out of a job. No reason was given for the departure of Rodney Reider, who had been CEO since 2015 and president of the St. Al's Medical Center from 2000 to 2015.

St. Al's officials said Sally Jeffcoat, who had been Reider's predecessor as CEO, will step back into that position immediately until a permanent replacement can be found. St. Al's would not comment further on Reider's departure.

Monday's high-profile departure was the second in a month at St. Al's. Odette Bolano left her post as president of the St. Al's Medical Center in December 2015 for a job in Florida.
