Stepbrothers' latest album, There Is Always Something to Worry About, ends with a song titled "This is Where the Trail Ends, Friendo." Sadly, art is imitating life for Stepbrothers: In September, the local melodic hardcore band announced on Facebook this show would be its last. That's a bummer, especially since smart, hard-rocking albums like Why the Fuck Would Anything Nice Ever Happen? (WavePOP Records, 2015) made Stepbrothers one of the most underrated bands in the Boise music scene. At least the four band members are going out on a high note: Stepbrothers' latest album, There is Always Something to Worry About (Flesh and Bone Records, 2017), features some of the band's best songwriting and performing.

Go bid this group farewell, but don't expect a wake. On the FB event page for the show, Drummer Charlie Ritch posted this: "Bring boogie boards for stage dives and beach balls for smackin around."
