With its snow sculptures, parades, snowbike races, live music, arts events and all around festive vibe, the McCall Winter Carnival has been a don't-miss happening since 1965. Fifty years from its beginnings, it's bigger than ever, drawing upwards of 60,000 people to the small mountain town for nine days of raucous winter fun. Boise Weekly was there for the kickoff of the 50th annual carnival, and put together a slideshow of its signature snow sculptures.
