The Bash Music & Craft Beer Festival Will Hit Boise on it's Multi-State Debut Tour

Truth be told, Boise isn't short on either beer, food or music festivals—but there's always room for one more. Enter The Bash Music & Craft Beer Festival, a day-long concert and craft beer tasting that will make a pit stop in Boise on Saturday, June 8, in Memorial Stadium as part of its inaugural tear through the U.S.

The festival's organizers—punk rock group Rancid, Synergy Global Entertainment Inc. and Brew Ha Ha Productions—announced its debut in a press release Feb. 19, and its Boise lineup will include Rancid, the punk rockers from Pennywise, thrash metal group Suicidal Tendencies and grunge band L7. Plus, before the music gets rolling in earnest, there will be a tasting of more than 100 beers, including local and regional offerings from Edge Brewing, Iron Horse Brewery, Payette Brewing, Ska Brewing and Sockeye Brewing.

Tyson Cardon, Sockeye's marketing director, said his crew is looking forward to The Bash, which he described as the latest iteration of a line of similar punk rock/beer festivals that have come to Boise in the last few years, including Scallywag! and Punk In Drublic.

"It's a different festival with the same people putting it on, as far as like the back end people who are buying the beers and kind of throwing everything together," said Cardon. "...We will be pouring a core beer, one of our year-rounds, and at least one specialty brew."

Tickets to the party go on sale Friday, Feb. 22, and range in price from $39.50 for general admission to $99.50 and up for VIP passes. The event is all ages after the beer tasting, which runs from 1-4 p.m., with an extra hour tacked on at the front end for VIP ticket holders.
