The Big Splash: Boise Municipal Pools to Open Friday

It's time for Boise to get its hair wet. On Friday, June 1, the Boise City Department of Parks & Recreation will fish out the dead leaves and clean the filters at its municipal pools, opening them to the public for the first time in 2018.

The pools that will open at 1:30 p.m. on Friday include:

Borah Pool, 801 Aurora Drive
Fairmont Pool, 7929 Northview St.
Ivywild Pool, 2250 Leadville Ave.
Lowell Pool, 1601 N. 28th St.
South Pool, 921 Shoshone St.
Natatorium and Hydrotube, 1811 Warm Springs Ave.

In addition to free swimming, there will also be swim classes taught at each pool; certified instructors will offer two-week sessions Mondays through Thursdays. Season swim passes for youth are $35 for Boise residents, and there will be passes for families and non-Boise residents available as well.
