The Center Big Idea: Idaho Stories

When: Fri., Oct. 21, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Continues through Jan. 6 2017
Price: FREE

Using a variety of media, including visual arts, film, lectures and theater, The Center’s newest Big Idea project presents a loose narrative informed by Idaho’s notable literary history and explores the different ways contemporary artists and writers have interpreted it. The exhibition brings together the works of two historic artists—James Castle and Mary Hallock Foote—and three contemporary artists—Scott Fife, Amanda Hamilton and Troy Passey. Some of the works overlap in their influences, others are discrete, but all emerge from a particular set of places and moments in the state of Idaho. Through Jan. 6.
