The Clumsy Lovers, May 16-17, The Bouquet

One of the few bands to get a two-night stint at the Bouquet is The Clumsy Lovers, a favorite of bar owner Erich Walton. One of the few bar owners to get a two-night stint out of the The Clumsy Lovers is Walton.

Adored in all parts east and west, north and south, the Vancouver, Canada-based folk/acoustic/Celtic-infused/bluegrassy acoustic (read: jam) band is well-known for their tireless touring. Trent Freeman (fiddle, vocals), Jason Homey (banjo, mandolin, guitar), Chris Jonat (bass, vocals), Trevor Rogers (vocals, guitar, harmonica, percussion), Rebecca Smith (fiddle, vocals) and Tyler Thompson (drums) spend as much time on the job as any first-year medical intern and put just as much heart and energy into their work.

Folks in the Gem State love the Lovers as evidenced by the number of upcoming Idaho shows they have listed on their Web site. May puts them in Moscow and Boise, June sees them in Pocatello and Donnelly (with stops in Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana and Washington in between) and they even have a private Boise show booked for January of next year. It's clear that the Lovers are well aware of the love Boise—and the Bouquet—has shown them over the years. On May 16 and 17, they'll offer a token of their own love right back to Boiseans with what they're calling their Third Annual Fan Appreciation show. Folks who purchase their tickets for the show through the band's Web site will get a free copy of an exclusive live CD.

May 16-17, $10 each night, 9 p.m. The Bouquet, 1010 Main St., 208-345-6605.
