Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiographical play about the elusiveness of character. The audience is introduced to three tall women navigating through the elusiveness of personality and self-deceptions. Through a funny and often haunting, unsettling conversation in act one, the collision of a young lawyer, a middle-aged caregiver and a rich, bitter elderly matron who have little patience for one another becomes apparent. The three talk in circles to make—or avoid—any kind of connection. In act two, their true identities are revealed, and the illusion of separateness takes a surprising, and illuminating, turn. VAC is a 21 and older venue.
