Timbaland: Timbaland Presents: Shock Value

With the release of his latest album, Timbaland Presents: Shock Value, star producer Timbaland is taking the charts by storm with original tracks and mixes with some of the industry's biggest names, such as Elton John and Nelly Furtado.

Entering the music scene in the mid-1990s as a DJ in his group Timbaland & Magoo, Timbaland moved into producing with artists such as Destiny's Child, Ludacris, Snoop Dog, as well as the late Aaliyah under his own label Mosley Music Group. While Shock Value is only his second solo album, his genius stands strong behind the works of Justin Timberlake's SexyBack, and Furtado's Promiscuous, each of which took turns dominating the No. 1 spot on the charts.

With such an impressive history of hit releases, it's no wonder Shock Value comes as another must-have album. The variety of sound offers any listener a track he or she can appreciate while featuring many newer music icons, such as Fall Out Boy and Nicole Scherzinger (the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls). The first single off Shock Value, "Give It To Me," features Timberlake and Furtado and already hit No. 1. The second single, "The Way I Are," is on its way.

Other tracks to keep an eye out for are "Scream," with the powerhouse voices of Keri Hilson and Scherzinger, as well as "Apologize" with One Republic, which brings out the ballad-like sounds of Timbaland's authentic mixing ability. In the end, Shock Value shows that Timbaland knows what it takes to get people up and on the dance floor with a new wave of energy and rhythm.
