About halfway through Storyfort's Treefort Story discussion at the Linen Building on Thursday, March 24, moderator Frankie Barnhill asked the Treefort team panelists if they had any advice for first-time festival goers.

"Don't stick too much to a hard and fast schedule," replied Volunteer Coordinator Elizabeth Corsentino. Instead, she recommended going with the flow and seeing what happens in the moment.

All four panelists—Corsentino, Art Director James Lloyd, Hospitality Director Stephanie Coyle and Publicity Adviser Matt Dalley—seemed to know about living in the moment. They described the growth of Treefort over the past five years as a combination of hard work, fortuitous meetings and adapting to obstacles.

Corsentino said she knew Treefort would succeed when 150 people volunteered in 2012. Coyle, on the other hand, said she wasn't sure until the festival got under way. When she walked around and saw how Treefort 2012 was going, she thought, "We pulled this off. This is crazy."
