Re: “Parent Trap

I must respond to Cathy Young's claims about my blog, since she had cited me in her article. She neglected to mention that on both my blog and my web site, there are two statements by Fatima Loeliger that refute what Ms. Young has written in her article. Ms. Loeliger needed to make her second statement in light of the misrepresentations she found about herself on the Internet, namely the kinds of statements made by Ms. Young in her article. In fact, Ms. Young repeats misrepresentations of the Allilire case that supporters of Parental Alienation Syndrome have been repeating since the documentary "Breaking The Silence" had aired. Fatima Loeliger has written that her mother was not abusive. Ms. Loeliger had written that it was her father and not her mother who was abusive towards her. Those are only two of Ms. Loeliger's statements. She clarifies much more that Ms. Young chose to ignore. Ms. Young's article only proves the premise behind the documentary "Breaking The Silence". The main point of the documentary was that abused children were neither heard nor believed when they spoke about abuse. Parental Alienation Syndrome has been used by abusive fathers and those who support them to remove children from their protective mothers. Considering that Ms. Young had ignored a young woman's own statements about the abuse she had experienced by her father, it is clear that the main point of the documentary has been proven true once again.
