Local musician-songwriter, folklorist and historian Gary Eller will share stories of Idaho settlers and their songs inspired by the work of constructing irrigation systems and navigating Idaho’s rivers. Eller is the director of the Idaho Songs Project, established in 2006 to find, document, interpret and preserve songs written before the radio era (before 1923) about early Idaho's people, places and events. Held in conjunction with the traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street exhibit, which runs through Dec. 3. In the Multipurpose Room.
