Winners of i48 Film Festival 

After the creativity and chaos that characterized the weekend of April 23, participants of the 2005 i48 Film Festival were able to sit back, relax and watch the submitted films this past weekend. Saturday, all films were shown in three sessions at the Flicks, and Sunday night's Best of the i48 culminated the project with an awards ceremony. The teams of Fancy Lads and WazzupFilms swept the ceremony Oscar-style, winning best film in the open and novice division respectively, among other awards.

Winners in the novice division are: Best use of genre: Token by On the Fly; Best Use of Prop: How Do You Want To Work This by Los Pollos Locos; Best Use of Dialogue: Behind the Fish Guy by Impros Films; Best Use of Character: Highland's Drifter by Monkey-Fu Films; Best Screenplay: Drive By by WazzupFilmz; Best Sound: Frontline Preview by Super Happy Fun Team; Best Cinematography: Drive By by WazzupFilms. Best Actress: Brandie Redinger; Best Actor: Peter Anderson; 2nd Best Film: Frontline Preview by Super Happy Fun Team; and Best Film: Drive By by Wazzup Filmz.

Winners in the open division are: Best Use of Genre: Switchback by Reel Women of the West; Best Use of Prop: Blood From A Turnip by Mark M; Best Use of Dialogue: XL-2BOT: 2679 by Super Red Pictures; Best Use of Character: Love, Chris by Super Awesome Magical Adventure Team; Best Screenplay: Adventures of a One-Handed Man by the AlejAndro Corporation; Best Sound: Separation by the Fancy Lads; Best Cinematography: Separation by the Fancy Lads; Best Actress: Alexei Jacobson; Best Actor: Gary Winterholler; 3rd Best Film: Adventures of a One-Handed Man by the AlejAndro Coporporation; 2nd Best Film: Fishing Cousins by West Dakota Films; and Best Film: Separation by the Fancy Lads.
